Can bring the rare combination of excellent engineering technical abilities combined with strong people skills from extensive customer facing experiences in technical roles.  This BSEE has mostly worked on the front lines closing deals, communicating, tuning products, providing customer support, and leading projects.  I am experienced enabling positive change as a leader and individual contributor.  Seek a position or contract to add value and work as part of a team.  Can provide skills acquired working on key projects as well as powering business development growth for: emerging companies, government organizations, and many of the Fortune Global 1000.  Have made people happy for over 20 years by exceeding expectations.  I’ve had jobs with over 70% business travel.  I now live in Portland, Oregon.

My background includes bringing money in the door wearing all kinds of hats including: website development with SEO, video deployment, solving customer problems, public relations, successful territory management, finding then closing deals to lead enterprise software IT improvements, providing engineering leadership to do what seemed impossible, team management (of both union and non-union people), staffing, 3rd party management, generation of CAD drawings, marketing, creation of sales collateral, strategic research, working as a design engineer, customer support, training, security, office automation, document access, disaster recovery, and solution definition.

After college was part of the Intel 80386 introduction in Intel’s Systems Technical Marketing.  Was then hired as an Intel Field Applications Engineer for a pre-sales customer project management focus to build relationships closing sales on all Intel products in a multi-state territory as the youngest then to hold the position.  At a time when Intel grew from <$1B to >$27B.  And from nearly zero % to over half systems total revenue at the same time.  Was part of introducing the 80386 / 80486 / Pentium-family CPUs and applied skills winning designs for all of Intel's many chips, boards, systems, and software solutions.  Was a “field sales team reviewer” of "Intel Inside" when Intel branded itself against CPU competitors.  Including help pick: the logo, sound, advertising, media, combined with brilliant marketing behind the scenes to keep a price war from happening at the buyers desk as Intel met competition for the first time from Advanced Micro Devices ( AMD ) and Cyrix Corporation for 80386 / 80486 CPUs.  Later worked for Synopsys and then helped numerous start-ups companies get going and some such as Verisity made it big.

I shoot and print in color / black & white / video.  Have the best tools including the latest hardware and software.  We often edit and mix to create awesome end-results with the desired impact.  Work as a web consulting graphic artist who helps organizations best reach-out online and get measurable results then tune for desired effectiveness.  Take pictures of action sports and historic events with modern equipment.  Program in HTML, CSS, PHP, and MySQL to create websites / interactive CDs / training materials to bring in well-qualified online prospects for any topic.  Leverage Social Networking, Web 2.0, Yahoo, MSN, Google, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Wiki, Blogs, YouTube, etc.  I help new organizations: pick a name, make graphics with impact including logo / letterhead, and then create the best most affordable marketing strategy online and otherwise that gets tuned to make the most money possible.  Exposure Manager and other useful online tools are often leveraged.  Able to create great end video results using tools like: Apple Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Actualizit, and Avid.  I am an advanced user of graphics editing packages like Photoshop and many others including many Freeware/Shareware favorites.  I took two years of Advanced Photography in college from a lady who lived with Ansel Adams.

It is fun to teach organizations to utilize the power of video – it is said a picture is worth a thousand words and most video is 30+ frames per second that reaches millions quickly.  On many of my recent digital video projects and website improvement efforts I help the team code and produce video to keep sharp.  Lead teams to create effective targeted advertising through visual art online with a goal to spread information over the Internet that will close sales or at least generate ‘warm leads’.  Drive platform and browser independence projects including: Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, and more.  Often use the many common tools with video streaming / codec / compression formats.    Worked as part of the Intel field sales team who introduced video on computers with DVI in the late 1980’s and later with Indeo Video in the early 1990’s (at that time the poor media quality failed to gain mass appeal).  Now sufficient multimedia technology exists for video systems to create profitable solutions.  There are some very useful presentation editing software to help create great end-results available from companies like Adobe, Avid, Apple, …

As well as working as an electrical engineer this country boy: has a farm to experiment with the growth of nursery stock, works on construction projects, consults for green building projects including unique HVAC design combined with energy monitoring controls, does land water flow improvements, operates heavy equipment, maintains vehicles, fixes what breaks, welds, landscapes including stone, co-managed the opening of the HindsightMX indoor dirt bike track with supplies, works on airplanes, does volunteer work at Habitat for Humanity, and has been all-lines insurance licensed in Oregon.  As a young adult I worked in a hardware store, metal shop, and in retail auto parts management.

More job-specific details can be provided in an interview.  Thank you for your consideration of all possibilities.
